IV HYDRATION THERAPY FAQs.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes. At this time, we are only accepting patients on an appointment-made basis only. The appointment scheduling process is very simple + quick, and your request is delivered immediately to our care team.

How does IV therapy work?

During an IV therapy session, an IV catheter is inserted into your vein, typically in your arm. A sterile IV bag containing fluids and nutrients is then slowly infused into your bloodstream. This process typically takes between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the specific treatment.

Who administers the IVs?

We have a powerful team consisting of our Medical Director (MD), Nurse Practitioner (APRN) and excellent Registered Nurses (RN’s). All of our Hydration Providers are nurses who have significant experience as Registered Nurses in hospitals, so we pride ourselves on our IV skills being the best.

Is IV Therapy safe?

Yes, IV therapy is generally safe when administered by trained professionals in a sterile environment. The process is non-invasive, and risks are minimal. However, it’s important to inform your provider of any health conditions, allergies, or medications you’re taking to avoid any potential interactions.

Who can receive this service?

The majority of interested clients are rendered eligible. However, we reserve the right to refuse treatment for multiple reasons, including but not limited to: medical contraindication and safety precautions. From time to time, we choose not to treat patients, not because they will not benefit from the therapies, but because they may require additional diagnostic testing or monitoring. We take pride in our professionalism and your safety is our priority. Furthermore, at this time, we have strict guidelines with regards to treating patients younger than 18 years of age or pregnant/lactating women without a prescription from your provider. Caution is advised in those with known congestive heart failure, renal failure, or liver disease. Please consult with your primary care physician prior to treatment.

Will it hurt?

It is not uncommon to experience a moderate fear of needles and we understand that. Our certified medical staff is highly experienced and thoroughly trained. We take the time to explain throughout the process and to keep you as comfortable as possible during the initial IV insertion. The insertion of the IV is quick and will typically feel like a small “pinch,” then you will be relaxing and on your way to being replenished in no time!

How long does an IV therapy session take?

Most IV therapy sessions take between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the type of infusion and your personal needs. You can relax, read, or even take a nap during the treatment.

How often should I get IV therapy?

The frequency of IV therapy depends on your goals and health needs. Some people use IV therapy once a month for general wellness, while others may benefit from more frequent sessions (e.g., weekly or after intense physical activity or travel). Your provider will help you determine an ideal treatment plan.

What is IV therapy?

IV (Intravenous) therapy is a medical treatment that delivers fluids, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly into your bloodstream through an intravenous (IV) drip. This method allows for faster absorption compared to oral supplements and is commonly used for hydration, energy boosts, and recovery.

What are the benefits of IV therapy?

IV therapy provides a wide range of benefits, including:

  • Hydration: Replenishes fluids lost due to exercise, illness, or dehydration.

  • Energy boost: Delivers essential vitamins and nutrients like vitamin B12 to combat fatigue.

  • Immune support: Helps strengthen the immune system with high doses of vitamin C and other antioxidants.

  • Detoxification: Flushes toxins from the body to promote overall wellness.

  • Recovery: Speeds up recovery from intense physical activity, hangovers, or jet lag.

Skin health: Helps improve skin hydration and appearance through vitamins like biotin.

Who can benefit from IV therapy?

Anyone can benefit from IV therapy, especially those looking to:

  • Rehydrate after illness, exercise, or a hangover

  • Boost energy levels

  • Support immune function

  • Improve skin health

  • Recover from physical activity

  • Enhance mental clarity and focus

Detoxify the body naturally

What is in an IV therapy drip?

The contents of an IV drip can vary depending on the treatment. Common ingredients include:

  • Saline solution or lactated Ringer’s: For hydration.

  • Vitamins: Such as vitamin C, B12, B-complex, and biotin for energy, immunity, and skin health.

  • Minerals: Like magnesium or calcium to support muscle function and recovery.

  • Amino acids: For muscle repair and endurance.

Antioxidants: To reduce inflammation and promote overall wellness.

How soon will I feel the effects of IV therapy?

Many people report feeling immediate benefits, such as increased energy, improved hydration, or relief from hangover symptoms, shortly after the treatment. However, more gradual improvements, such as enhanced immunity or skin appearance, may take a few days.

Are there any side effects or risks?

IV therapy is generally safe, but mild side effects such as bruising at the injection site, slight swelling, or dizziness can occur. Serious complications are rare but can include infection at the injection site or allergic reactions. Be sure to inform your provider of any medical conditions or allergies before starting treatment.

Can I eat or drink before or after an IV session?

Yes, it’s fine to eat or drink before or after your IV therapy. However, it’s recommended to stay hydrated and avoid excessive alcohol consumption prior to your session for maximum benefits.

Can I receive IV therapy while pregnant or breastfeeding?

No, our nurse will not administer IV treatments on pregnant or breastfeeding women.

How old do I have to be to get an IV drip?

The minimum age to receive a drip in our studio is 16 years of age.
