What should I wear to my session?
We provide you with everything you need – warm socks, gloves and a robe. Women can wear undergarments with no metal into the chamber and men must wear boxers/briefs for protection.
Do you have changing rooms?
Yes. You will be able to change into your cryo-gear and store your belongings safely during your session.
How long is the session?
Each cryotherapy session is just 3 minutes long and one of our staff will accompany you throughout the experience.
I've heard that going from extreme cold to extreme heat is beneficial to my health - can I go from the sauna to the cryo chamber?
No. You can START with cryotherapy and then hop into the sauna but not the other way around. Your sweat will freeze on your body if so and can cause unnecessary health complications.

Cryotherapy FAQs for Athletes
What is cryotherapy, and how does it help athletes?
Cryotherapy involves short exposure to extremely cold temperatures, which helps reduce inflammation, speed up muscle recovery, and improve overall performance. It’s a popular tool among professional and amateur athletes for post-training recovery.
How does cryotherapy improve muscle recovery?
The cold exposure causes blood vessels to constrict, reducing inflammation and muscle soreness. Once the session ends, fresh, oxygen-rich blood flows back into the muscles, helping repair tissue and flush out toxins like lactic acid.
Can cryotherapy improve athletic performance?
Yes, indirectly. By reducing recovery time, boosting energy, and improving sleep and circulation, cryotherapy helps athletes train harder, more frequently, and with less downtime.
How often should athletes use cryotherapy?
It depends on training intensity and goals. Many athletes use it 2–4 times per week during heavy training cycles. For competition prep or injury recovery, daily sessions for a short period may be recommended.
Does cryotherapy help with sports injuries?
Yes. Cryotherapy can reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with common athletic injuries like sprains, tendonitis, or muscle strains. Localized cryotherapy is also available for targeting specific areas.
Is cryotherapy better than ice baths?
Cryotherapy offers similar recovery benefits in a shorter time (just 2–3 minutes) and is generally more comfortable than an ice bath. Unlike ice baths, cryotherapy doesn’t cause skin numbness or prolonged exposure discomfort.
What should I expect during a session?
You’ll step into a cryo chamber wearing protective gear (gloves, socks, slippers). The session lasts 2.5 minutes, and while it’s intensely cold, most athletes find it refreshing and energizing afterward. Temperatures reach about -230 degrees!
Is it safe for all athletes?
Cryotherapy is safe for most healthy individuals. However, athletes with certain heart conditions, unmanaged hypertension, or cold sensitivities should consult a healthcare provider first.
Can cryotherapy be used during competition season?
Absolutely. Many athletes use it between games, matches, or training sessions to reduce soreness and stay in peak condition.
Is there a benefit to combining cryotherapy with other recovery methods?
Yes. Cryotherapy pairs well with massage, compression therapy, red light therapy, and stretching. A combined approach often delivers better and longer-lasting results.
Cryotherapy FAQs for First-Timers
What exactly is cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is a wellness treatment where your body is exposed to very cold air (around -200°F to -250°F) for 2–3 minutes. It’s designed to reduce inflammation, boost circulation, and leave you feeling energized.
Is it safe for someone who’s never done it before?
Yes! Cryotherapy is a safe, controlled process. A trained technician will walk you through every step and stay with you during your session to ensure you’re comfortable.
What does it feel like? Will I be freezing?
It’s cold—really cold—but not painful. Most people describe it as a dry, chilly sensation that’s intense but manageable since it only lasts a couple of minutes. Many people say they feel refreshed and energized afterward.
What do I wear during the session?
You’ll wear minimal clothing—usually underwear or shorts and a sports bra (if applicable)—to expose as much skin as possible. We’ll provide warm socks, gloves, slippers, and a robe or wrap to protect your extremities and sensitive areas.
How long is a cryotherapy session?
Just 2–3 minutes! That’s all it takes to get the full benefit. First-time users often start with a shorter duration and increase as they get more comfortable.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?
Not much! Just make sure your skin is dry (no lotions, oils, or sweat), and avoid shaving or intense workouts right before your session. You don’t need to shower or change afterward.
What should I expect after my session?
You might feel a natural energy boost, reduced muscle soreness, and improved mood. Some people also report better sleep and faster recovery after workouts.
Is one session enough to see results?
You may feel some benefits right away, but cryotherapy works best with regular use. Many people come 2–3 times a week for general wellness or recovery.
Who shouldn’t try cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy isn’t recommended for people with uncontrolled high blood pressure, certain heart conditions, cold sensitivity (like Raynaud’s), or if you’re pregnant. If you’re unsure, check with your doctor first.
I’m nervous—what if I want to stop the session early?
That’s totally okay! You’re always in control. If you feel uncomfortable, just let the technician know—you can exit the chamber at any time.
